Donor support enables the Free Library of Philadelphia to provide countless resources and services to millions across the city and beyond each year. And there are as many ways to support the Free Library as there are reasons to give!

While the City of Philadelphia provides for the Free Library’s facilities and infrastructure, critical programs and community resources are only made possible with private annual support. The Free Library Fund sustains our mission to advance literacy, guide learning, and inspire curiosity throughout the city.

In addition to providing access to books and digital resources, the Free Library’s programs provide lifelong learning opportunities that build literacy at all stages of life. From LEAP—the Learning Enrichment Afterschool Program, the largest free drop-in after-school initiative in the city—workshops for job seekers, to our cutting-edge Culinary Literacy Center, the Free Library provides an entrée to learning regardless of age or ability.
