Why Health Equity Matters to Us
The link between libraries and health might not be obvious at first, but here’s one powerful reason it matters: over one-third of public library users seek health information when they visit.

In a city like ours, where health disparities are stubbornly persistent, providing trusted, accessible information is essential. Libraries are already embedded in neighborhoods and are recognized as free, safe, and dependable spaces. That makes them uniquely positioned to support health equity.

Public libraries can help reduce barriers, share credible resources, and empower more people to take charge of their health.

A Week All About You
Community Impact Week is about more than sharing information; it’s about building community health. When we come together to learn and support one another, we create a healthier, more resilient Philadelphia.

Join us November 17–20. Bring your questions, your family, and your neighbors, and let’s see what’s possible when we come together to advance health equity.
